Frequently Asked Question #11:

Q: What schools are available for my children in Piedmont?

A: In general there are good state and private schools in all the larger towns. Fees for private schools are a fraction of the fees paid in either the UK or the USA - for example, at the Nostra Signora delle Grazie school in Nizza Monferrato (http://www.scuolanizza.it, age 3 to 18 years) the annual fees are only 1,343 Euro per child.

If you plan to stay in Italy for only a year or two, and then to return to an English-speaking country, you will probably want to consider an English-speaking international school - there's a good one at Turin/Moncalieri, on the Asti side of Turin - see http://www.acat-ist.it/index.asp - which is commutable from the wine region of southern Piedmont.
