The estate produces its own wine, and the antique farmhouse was fully renovated in 2002. Guests have use of the magnificient new swimming pool. Cascina Christiana enjoys a beautiful hillside position 2 km (1.2 miles) from the 13th century town of Nizza Monferrato, a lively centre of the Piedmontese wine trade with colourful weekly markets, fine restaurants and good shopping facilities.

The estate is an ideal center for your exploration of South Piedmont: the French and Swiss Alps, the great Italian Lakes, and the picturesque coast of Liguria - also known as the Italian Riviera - can all be reached easily in a day trip.

Nizza Monferrato is also ideally situated for both Genoa and Turin airports, which are approximately one hour away. Milan Malpensa airport is about a one and a half hours drive. Asti, Alba, Acqui Terme and Alessandria can all be reached within half an hour.

• Apartment 1 is located on the top (third) floor of the main house and enjoys spectacular views over the Monferrato countryside. It includes a spacious sitting room area with a comfortable sofa that converts into a double bed, a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen, a bar-counter dining area, a double bedroom (with twin beds) and a modern shower room with basin and WC. Sleeps 2 to 4.

• Apartment 2 offers accommodation on two levels: on the lower level is a sitting-room with a dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a shower-room with basin and WC. The room leads onto a balcony, with table and chairs, that enjoys magnificent views over the surrounding vineyards. An internal staircase leads from the sitting-room to the double bedroom, part of the conversion of the former hayloft. Sleeps 2.

• Apartment 3 also has accommodation on two levels: on the lower level is a sitting-room with a bar-counter dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a shower-room with basin and WC. The sitting room has a balcony with a table and chairs, and a stunning view over the vineyard and distant hills. Like apartment 2, the bedroom is reached via an internal staircase. Sleeps 2.

• Apartment 4, like apartments 2 and 3, is also on two levels. The double bedroom with en-suite shower room is on the lower level. This room leads onto a balcony with table and chairs, from where you can enjoy the lovely views over the estate's vineyard and the distant hills. Stairs lead up to the sitting room. The apartment includes tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge, but no kitchen. Sleeps 2.

• Room 1: This bright and imposing double bedroom is on the top floor. It benefits from a balcony and magnificent views on two sides. The room contains a table and chairs plus tea & coffee making facilities. The luxuriously-appointed en-suite bathroom includes a shower, bath tub, basin, WC, and a floor-to-ceiling window that offers magnificent views from the bathtub over the surrounding countryside. Sleeps 2.

• Room 2: This spacious double bedroom with ensuite shower and WC is on the top floor. It has a table and chairs, a fridge, and tea & coffee making facilities, plus a balcony offering far-reaching views. Sleeps 2.
