Situation : The property is situated on a sun-drenched hillside high above a small wine town in the scenic Valle Belbo east of Alba. It benefits from a great panoramic view, and is located only a 3-minute drive from the piazza - the main square - of the town. Here you can find good shopping facilities, banks, restaurants and bars. The property is approached by a small, tarmac-surfaced country lane that also leads to a borgo (hamlet) with a church above the property. A short drive off the road leads to a sunny courtyard and the house. Distance to the motorway is about 15 Km (10 miles), and the Riviera is about a 50-minute drive away.

The house: is a 350 years old farmhouse of solid stone construction. This type of house is called a rustico: they are highly sought-after, and it has become increasingly difficult to find them in Southern Piedmont. This one has eight rooms - 4 on the ground floor, 4 on the first floor - including a stable and a portico which could both easily be included in the living area, if desired. Some rooms feature traditional brick-vaulted ceilings and open fireplaces. Currently the roof of the house is in a derelict condition, but the owner is including a new roof plus the repair of the ground floor ceiling in the sale price.
