In the direction of Alessandria the motorway/freeway/autostrada can be reached by car in 20 minutes. The international airports of Milan, Turin and Genoa are a little more than an hour's drive away.
The two-storey brick/stone house dates from the mid-18th century and is attached at one side to a neighbouring house. The main accommodation has been renovated and refurbished over the past 5 years and is in excellent habitable condition. There is space for creating further accommodation on the lower ground floor, and we are happy to help the buyer find a very competitively-priced geometra (surveyer/builder) to oversee any building works. We provide this service to buyers free of charge. A reserved parking space next to the house belongs to the property: it is also possible to drive into the courtyard and park further cars there if required.

On the lower ground floor, only accessible from the courtyard, are the former cantina/winecellar and another spacious room, currently used for storage. Both rooms could be converted into further accommodation if required. The courtyard enjoys a southerly aspect with lovely views and features a wooden gazebo with a sun roof, a favorite al fresco dining place during the warm months of the year. Below the courtyard, a sloping plot of overgrown land is part of the property: this could be terraced and cultivated, or it can simply be left as it is.

There are a number of golf courses in Southern Piedmont. The one nearby, Margara near Felizzano, can be reached by car in 30 minutes. South Piedmont is perfect for bike riding: there are numerous small, scenic roads - mostly tarmac-surfaced - connecting the hills and villages. Horse riding is also very popular, and there are good riding facilities in the area. The nearest tennis courts can be found in Asti. The beaches of the Riviera are a one hour drive away.

Our opinion: An immediately-habitable property of great charm in a picturesque setting. This house would make an ideal all-year residence, but would also be perfect for holiday rentals.
